I hope it was on a house you were working on.

I have to find something to do soon. I work for a nonprofit and we've been told we'll all keep our jobs through the economic crisis but are cutting back on projects so in order to keep busy we've been asked to spend a day in the community doing volunteer work (mandatory volunteer work if you will). So I'm looking around at various things. I might tutor an adult in reading, or record books to tape for the blind, or do some planting at an ecological organization that provides education in sustainable living, or clean cages and feed animals up at the Wildlife Center. I'm trying to avoid the social aspect that can accompany volunteer work and would prefer something where I'm given a task that I can go off and do by myself. I hate people, lol. Except most of you, of course. Anyway, it was good reading all this and getting ideas.
