It's worth noting that US Airlines, the Air Line Pilots Association and the Dept of Homeland Security all supported the actions taken and found no religious discrimination. And that, subsequently, the Homeland Security bill now has a provision exempting civilians from lawsuits for reporting "suspicious behavior."

FFS, broaden your horizons. It's a big, diverse world out there.
A big diverse world that sadly includes honor killings, genital mutilation, the death penalty for apostates, stoning of adulterers, the subjugation of women, genocide, anti-capitalism, authoritarianism and totalitarianism.

None of which I'm too keen on "coexisting" with.

It's worth noting that US Airlines had no choice but to try and protect its employees and company, due to the incoming lawsuits I'm sure we'll see. Airline Pilots Association would stand behind its pilots in almost any situation because it's an advocacy group. And Homeland Security is partly responsible for your 5-year old son getting an erotic patdown from a disaffected TSA employee on the way to Disneyland. Not sure what legitimacy these stands are supposed to provide.

Wow, so you really do take the most extreme part of another religion and apply it to those who practice across the entire religion.

I hope you're not Christian or Jewish, because we can go down this route with those two as well.

Why don't you put me on your "ignore" list as you apparently have done with BVS? It is so much easier to put one's hands over one's ears and pretend that a personal worldview is the only worldview that is right and just. Not to say you're a terrible person....

Who's doing that??? I do apply to those things however to crowds carrying signs that say "Islam will dominate the world" or "Death to America."

Wouldn't a moderate Muslim be just as appauled by that list?

I'd rather not do that as you say some very funny things. But what I won't do is put my hands over my ears and pretend that Western Civilization, capitalism and individual liberty isn't under attack. From outside and from within.

Fair points but there are also publicity whores, agitators, race baiters and a grievance based lawsuit industry out there.

Let's just wait and see before we "Juan Williams" everyone?

polemicist screeds only seem to get right wing people to empty their wallets, liberals tend to buy actual history books.

"Actual history" is not the term that immediately springs to mind when reading Noam Chomsky or Howard Zinn.

I get the outside part--Al Qaeda etc. I would argue they haven't been very successful.

But the inside--could you elaborate on exactly how we are "under attack within"--who is doing the attacking and what have been the results of their insiduous work.? I sure hope you're not referring to the "left-wing." I find the "liberals hate America" narrative so tiresome and patently untrue. I can accept "liberals mean well but are misguided" (that's how I feel about the Right) but the suggestion that the Left is actively seeking to destroy the nation is. . .and I remind you you asked me to call it . . .bullshit.

So I'm hoping that isn't where you're going with the "within" part.
