Same for me. I was raised in a strict Protestant (Methodist) background, during the sixties and was taught sex outside of marriage was a sin. You can go to hell and etc. As an adult of mature age. I don't believe this. But, I have raised my son to respect women. And that sex should be reserved for a loving relationship.
If a person is sexually active and is not trying to have a child. Then, by all means condoms/ birth control should be used. Each and every time. Condoms have effectively slowed down the transmission of STD's and Aids.
