Thank you.

Sarah Palin is a horrendously patronizing, obnoxious idiot who shouldn't be running ANYTHING in terms of local, state, or federal government. The fact that the Republican Party picked her as their "leading female candidate" says a hell of a lot about them and the way they value women in politics. She's a serious embarrassment to our gender, and I'd love for her and her family to just...go away already.

We need it to keep Texas in check, so they don't get bragging rights to living in the largest state in the US.

Well...I have a relative and a friend that both live there, so I'd like to at least keep them with the rest of the U.S.

There you go, that's a perfect solution .

It really does seem odd that we picked land that far away from the continental U.S. to claim as a state (same with Hawaii). But lots of countries do that-"Eh, so what if it's nowhere close to where we are. We must own it."

I've never been to Alaska-from the images I've seen on TV, it looks like a beautiful state and I wouldn't mind visiting it someday if I got the chance. Just...so isolated, is all.

Not relevant, but if you can try to make them relevant to this thread why not I guess... let's play six degrees of separation

Hey how did y'all miss-lefty friends, conservative women are smarter than you and hotter than you. I guess lefties are afraid to embrace their femininity-unless that's supposed to be some sort of code. I liked her leather jacket, but I just wouldn't look as good in it Just by virtue of some of my beliefs I guess.

Sarah Palin Rallies Tea Party at Boston, Conservative Women Called Smart and Hot - ABC News

"After Palin finished speaking, a man acting as the emcee thanked Palin and said: "You hear that my lefty friends, you see that, conservative women -- they're smarter than you and they're hotter than you."

The head of a prominent conservative women's group has embraced Wednesday's characterization of Palin as "smarter than you and ... hotter than you."

"No doubt ... Sarah Palin is an attractive woman, and that's just a reality," Penny Young Nance, the CEO of Concerned Women for America, told ABC News. "I like the idea that she embraces her femininity."

"Conservative women are not afraid to embrace their femininity," Nance continued. "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world."

I feel even more confident now that she'll never, ever win an election. But maybe even worse she's going to constantly be in our faces for a very long time. That might even be worse than watching her completely fail as a leader.

Ugh. Yeah, unfortunately I think you may be right, BEAL.

Is it wrong I'm suddenly hoping she gets, like, laryngitis or something, so I don't have to hear that screechy, faux-folksy tone?

*Opens mouth. Closes it. Opens it again. Closes it*

Yeah, I think about the only response I can give to that moron is: Fuck you.

Call me crazy, but when someone, male or female, shows themselves to be as mind-numbingly stupid as Sarah does...that tends to kill any sort of "attractiveness" they could've had. And yes, let's base our support for somebody on their "hotness".

See what I mean? This just smacks of sexism. I'm so sick of unintelligent women like her being the ones getting the airtime and the big bucks.

Palin delivered her usual diatribe against President Obama, including...his phased-in drilling plan (she described it as "stall, baby, stall")
As I understand it, his drilling idea isn't all that dissimilar from the one YOUR REPUBLICAN FRIENDS advocated. Why do you think the left was unhappy with him when they heard that plan?

Jesus Christ, woman, try thinking for yourself for a change.
