this is a problem far larger than that.
this resulted from arrogance on behalf of many, many people who believed/believe that they are entitled to things that they cannot afford. yes, the banks took advantage, and they're as guilty, if not more than anyone.
but this was an attitude problem just as much as anything else, and its perhaps the same faceless crowd who wish to point the finger at the few more obvious figureheads who were the captains of the ship when it started going south.
