So what I'm gathering is that if it wasn't CVS it's not a violent crime equated to rape, is that about it?

You responded with a link to my question so I was looking for a picture of a burning CVS store or a report of a CVS store being burned.

What fucking difference does it make what the brand of the store is?

I honestly think wolf must be a CVS employee (nothing wrong with that if so, I just wish they would put their cards on the table). It's the only legit reason I can possibly think of for he/she to be so concerned about it being a CVS to the point of emphasizing it multiple times in every post. It makes zero sense otherwise.

No, he's just one of these types who takes everything literally and loves to get lost in semantics arguments in order to ignore the broader forces at work. Like a phoenix, he rises from the ashes yet again.

I'm glad it isn't just me who didn't understand why the emphasis was on this specific store. I was starting to feel bloody stupid for not understanding this lol.

This whole thing never added up.

I think the police, effectively murdered him. Caused his death.

He sees the cops, takes off running. They catch him, hog tie him and put him in the back of the van. Cops drive around for awhile stop and put someone else in the back of the van with him. When he is finally taken out of the van he is fatally injured.

Reminds me a bit of a scene from The Shield. Vic Macky puts a gang guy in a container, and then puts an enemy gang member in the same container and closes the door.

Saw the video of the mother dragging a looter out of the crowd by his ears. Some great parenting there!
It shows a more significant and dedicated form of violence. Setting a fire in the street, bashing in car windows or even setting a car on fire on the street is one level of violence. But to destroy a large structure like a CVS store, looted and burned, is on another level. People were in the store when the event happened as well, while most of these cars that were set on fire were unoccupied or windows to a store bashed in after a sporting event had already closed for the night.
Show me a store CVS or similar in size, that had people in it when it was attacked, looted, and set on fire, after a sporting event.

They also never set little fires In the middle of U.S. streets, threw rocks at windows and Policeman in the U.S., set parked cars on fire, because their favorite sporting team won or lost a game.
They did attack some large buildings in the U.S. like the World Trade Center when at full capacity has over 50,000 people working there and the Pentagon which also has tens of thousands of people working there. So they are on a whole other level than the CVS burners and looters.

This was in the Vancouver Stanley Cup riot, so may not count for wolf, as we all know that Canadians are much more violent than Americans but anyway:

Quote:
Windows were smashed in a bank and various businesses along the West Georgia corridor, some of which were also looted. Riot police eventually managed to push the rioters away from Georgia, onto Granville Street and Robson Street, where the rioters then caused further substantial damage, breaking the windows of several shops and looting. Some of the stores affected were Future Shop, Sears and Chapters bookstore.
FYI - Future Shop is the equivalent of Best Buy (in fact Best Buy has bought them all out) and Chapters would be like a Barns & Noble.

I mean, maybe wolf was concerned about CVS's past record, guys.

CVS Pharmacy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Homeless man strangled for shoplifting

On May 8, 2010, a homeless man named Anthony Kyser was strangled to death by a CVS store manager after allegedly stealing toothpaste and crayons. Surveillance footage from an alleyway near the store was captured which shows the alleged shoplifter being forced to the ground and killed by the store manager, Pedro Villanova. Though the death was ruled a homicide by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, no charges were filed against the manager, the authorities having ruled the incident an "accident." No investigation was made into the off-duty county officer who was on scene, but did nothing to stop the attack. U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush, who spoke out in 2010 against the way Kyser's death was handled, stated "... we have video that shows emphatically that he was lying on the ground and some people strangled him, kicked him and choked him and at the end of that episode he lay still, he was killed, right there on the spot." The video shows a police officer arrived on the scene moments after the incident occurred; however, no first aid was given to the victim. Kyser's parents filed a lawsuit claiming that the CVS manager assaulted and battered their son and that the store is responsible for that manager's actions. The lawsuit, seeking $400,000 in damages, remains pending in Cook County Circuit Court.

i can appreciate the symbolic difference between torching a police car and torching a CVS.
