I have no idea how this thread will go. I imagine it will probably be quickly buried, but realized we don't really have a general thread for this kinda thing. Just wanted to share this video of a baby orangutan being born. Amazing. I've seen various other kinds of mammals give birth, but never a great ape. I'm impressed by how self sufficient the mother is (though I really shouldn't be) and the way she uses her hands.

Not gonna lie, I laughed when she licked her fingers as if she had just finished something delicious
