47 million old fossil found, 95% complete

Missing Link: Scientists In New York Unveil Fossil Of Lemur Monkey Hailed As Man's Earliest Ancestor | World News | Sky News

The Link - Welcome

With her human-like nails instead of claws, and opposable big toes,
she is placed at the very root of human evolution when early primates
first developed features that would eventually develop into our own.

I do not believe in recent human creation stories, Adam and Eve, and so forth

I do believe in evolution, with common ancestors.

No doubt, this find and the conclusions will be debated.

I tend to accept the scientific claims.

Nah, I just don't believe that creation stories intended to make statements about scientific theory and fact and I've never accepted them as such. They are "truth" insofaras they illustrate the relationship between the god and the creation. If I do not believe in the god than it doesn't matter because I still understand how humans evolved. If I do believe in the god, then I understand how that religion defines the relationship between the god, the people, and the creation regardless of how humans evolved.

Anyway, the pic in the article is really cool, I wish you could see it bigger.

while i don't agree, i am totally fine with all of this and entirely respect the thinking behind it and how it was expressed.

I believe in evolution.

But I believed God had something to do with it

Anyway, this is really cool, and I'd like to see how the creationists are going to respond to this - if they ever do!
