The parade seems fairly.... pointless? In a car, surrounded by other cars, with a 3 man deep line of police/military lining the whole parade route, between the cars and the public. If you're standing there, can you see anything other than police?

I have been all day over this. I am so deliriously happy that it's ridiculous. Maybe I should have watched this with other people (a theater near me hosted a viewing party) and enjoyed being near people who share my excitement. But I've really loved watching this all day (I took the day off from work).

I love how the family is dressed, how they look, BTW. Those girls are soooo darling, and Michelle is gorgeous!

Will Obama meet our sky-high expectations? It remains to be seen. But I have faith that he will try his hardest to help turn things around in this country, and in this world.
