May he rest in peace. To lose a child to murder is probably the most painful thing a parent could go through, so I hope he is in a place where he won't live with that pain.

Dunne was, I think, a very good investigative writer, notwithstanding all the 'Last week in the Cap de Ferrat, the Duchess of Abercorn whispered sweet nothings into my ear' stuff.

His VF columns were like sitting around with a gossipy girlfriend who had the (highbrow) inside scoop. He was a great crime reporter, too.
