Just when all that Joe Wilson BS has died down, we get this moron on the Congress floor and later on CNN spouting his drivel. He may have salient points, but his ridiculous comments and characterizations distract from anything positive he has to say. Joe Wilson is an undignified fool as well, don't get me wrong, but he at least apologized for his idiocy.

Lawrence O'Donnell points out in the video below that all this coverage is a great thing. WHY? Watch the video! The mainstream media makes me :|

Looks like it's not just Limbaugh making unnecessary, foolish, conversation-stopping Nazi Germany comparisons. And hey, unlike Rush, this one happens to be from an elected official! :cute:

You should have seen Ed Schultz the other day at the start of his show. He was all giddy, saying "Right on, brother. I'm right there with you." So much for civility post-Joe Wilson, right Ed? Though I can't expect much from a guy who thinks a significant number of conservatives straight-up want Obama dead, and his ratings show it. Even Rachel Maddow of all people denounced Grayson on her show last night.

By the way, that's not all this Congressman has said. He calls the Anti-Defamation League a "crazy, racist institution."

People who use "genocide", "communism", "socialism" just can't be taken seriously.

When will they learn?

That being said, comparing him to Joe Wilson is exactly apples to apples, all kinds of batshit insane things get said on the Congress floor(and they have that right), but Grayson didn't interrupt.

Can't they put all those idiots on a plane, bring them to Germany and give them some lesson about the history they are attempting to cite?.... wait, leave them there and try to educate them at home. But I would love to see both sides of the angle finally getting up and doing something about this bullshit of throwing comparisons and words around they don't have a fucking clue of. They don't do their country a favor that way, rather furthering the divide of the population thatis all too happy to pick that shit up and either recite it or using it to polemically brush the other side with a broad stroke.

It's not apples to apples. It's just undignfied crap. I could care less if Ed Schultz does his schtick or Olbermann, Beck, or Hannity. They are media personalities and entertainers. He is an elected official. To do that kind of crap after the Wilson fiasco is a distraction.

Joe Wilson was out of order and rude but otherwise correct in his assertion. Alan Grayson is the new Cynthia Mckinney and head of the Bozo-wing of the Congressional Democrats.

Yeah, taxes are bad considering the amount of spending involved. I don't mind taxes if the money was spent well, but all evidence points to it NOT being spent well and whatever money they take, basically being thrown down bottomless well. Yeah, George Bush and the Repubs sucked as well in terms of spending

It's about time someone got up from the Democrats and did a little "flame-throwing verbiage" themselves after all the lies spouts by many Republicans in the congress in press conferences and on the floor itself, since & before Obama became President.

I e-mailed Rep Grayson and thanked him.

ANd sometimes Obama is too close to center for me. But he already has done some very good things, ,so I will disagree strongly when I have to, and cheer ever louder when he does wonderful things!!! :D

The people of his district must be proud.

Who here doesn't think this guy won't have a job come next November?

I'm quite happy with my Congressman. He actually doesn't go around saying the ADL is full of crazy racists.

And who said this and what's your source? Because so far it's a right wing website that is claiming this but they have no source cited, did you hear Rush say it? Why do you fall for this?

So once again who are your proud of?

And who said this and what's your source? Because so far it's a right wing website that is claiming this but they have no source cited,

It's a blog post by Grayson's top advisor, who also called John McCain a "crazy, cancer-ridden dishonest madman," neither of which are statements that Grayson has come out and denounced, so it does make one wonder if he doesn't find those statements outrageous.

So once again who are your proud of?

What do you want? My congressman?

no, Grayson's a terrible liar.

the Republicans don't have a health care plan.

The Democrats don't necessarily have a "plan" either. Republican Paul Ryan presented a "plan" so that isn't necessarily a true statement by Grayson. If there was a plan that the Dumocrats could actually stand with, then maybe something would pass (I personally hope it doesn't happen). The supposed "plan" that the Dems keep working on continues to "change," as the weeks go by and it's laughable to say that they have a concrete plan when it seems to be in flux every so often.

Look, he can still make his points without alluding to the Holocaust, calling Republicans names, or saying Republicans want people to die. That distracts from the issues and only causes problems (alah Axis of Evil, anyone?). He is not Ed Schultz or Keith Olbermann. If he really wants to be critical and name call, maybe he should do to that to his own party members instead of the Republicans, considering they (the Democrats) are the ones holding up their REFORM effort up. THE DEMS have BOTH the HOUSE and the super-majority in the Senate. THEY OWN the PRESIDENCY! Healthcare reform doesn't need the Repubs. The DEMOCRATS DON'T NEED the REPUBS TO PASS ANYTHING. So what is the hold up? Grayson should focus his anger on his own party. LOL

The source has been found false many many times. You should be embarassed. Why? Why do you fall for this shit?

What do you want? My congressman?

I just want one name. Who impresses you on the Republican side? You make such a bold statement based on lies, you believe the worse, you fall for the propaganda, I'm just curious who you really believe in?

Why do you fall for this shit?
If your privately held personal opinion is that some poster or another is a mere rationally incapacitated child, which is exactly what your tone here suggests, then stop wasting your breath interrogating them.

If in fact you assume them to be a reasonable adult capable of engaging in debate like yourself, then why not act like it by calmly relaying the link, post, line of argument, or whatever which you believe shows them wrong, then relax, sit back, and give them a chance to let their ability (or not) to make an equally effective counterargument speak for itself. You don't need to be this condescending to convey your own sense of moral urgency about a topic.

Who here doesn't think this guy won't have a job come next November?

I had an extaordinarily busy week so I actually have no idea who this guy is or what all the bruhaha is. Therefore I have no idea what district he represents but frankly there are all sorts of people sitting in Congress that I find shocking so no, I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if he stays.

As I see it it was the first Democrat (he's from downtown Orlando) who used pretty much the same language some Republicans have been using for years, and now the Republicans cry foul.

What do men who "squat on top of a woman's (or man's) face and lowering one's genitalia into a person's mouth during sex," have anything to do with Grayson (or were you referring to people who carried large bags of tea)?

Sarah Palin can say whatever she wants about death panels considering she said it as a private citizen just as Janeane Garofalo can call out a whole movement of protesters as racist and hating the black man. Grayson, as an elected public official, is an entirely different animal especially considering the Joe Wilson flap.

But it's so cute and funny when people like Irvine and Rachel Maddow use that phrase. :cute: People who use that phrase don't make themselves sound stupid at all. :|
