I must say I'm surprised no one has started a thread about the Chilcot Inquiry into the Iraq war. Opinion in Britain seems to be divided between those who consider Blair to be a war criminal who deserves to be tried at the Hague, and those who believe that the war was necessary to stop Saddam. I think many people are in agreement that the UK Government misled the public about Iraq's nuclear capabilities and the exact reasons they had for going to war.
Just wondering if anyone else went down to the demo that happened earlier today (well, technically yesterday) in London, in light of Tony Blair's appearance at the Chilcot Inquiry. I had a wander round before work and ended up standing right next to, and then right in front of, the wonderful Brian Eno. He, amongst others, read out the names of just a few of the people that have been killed since the Iraq war began. Very sombre stuff.
