no, i don't think SH and OBL are at all the same. in fact, OBL hated SH's secular socialist government. SH was a psychopath, but wasn't about to blow himself up for a cause. he was a much more predictable state monster who made rational decisions based upon his military capacities and not based upon his belief in a God who has a death wish for America, the Jews, etc.

No Deep, we're not the 51st state - we're just the ONLY true and unconditional friend and ally that the United States has.

Sometimes its really nice and comforting to have good friends who will stick by each other even though they might have ocassional disagreements.

The U.S. and Israel have an unbreakable bond that has stood the test of time and has weathered many conflicts and scandals (the Pollard case for one). Israel would NEVER cause harm to the United States or ally itself with anyone who is an enemy of the United States.

And yes.....we do get a lot of your tax dollars (just like many other countries do). Just like friends help each other financially in times of need, and for good causes.

Because we are a tiny nation surrounded on all sides (and inside as well) by countries who seek nothing less than our ultimate destruction, this aid is vital to help maintain our defence capability against our sworn enemies who would remove any trace of pro-western society in the Middle East.

We are grateful for this aid and we also know that, on the whole, the United States understands our security needs and the difficult battles that we have to face on a day to day basis.
