I think it's a good painting - I quite liked it.

Then I'll ask you the same questions I asked him, probably with the same results:

Which part did you like the best? The fact that Jesus was holding the Constitution?

Was it the overall stereotypes?

Was it the Xenophobia of the "immigrant"?

Was it that higher education = liberal godless?

Can you show me how this is an informed person making these ridiculous generalizations? Do you think Jesus would be endorsing an earthly government?

Of course Jesus is white, but I'm really shocked they gave him such a liberal haircut.

The lawyer flipping through his big wad of money is the crowning achievement of this painting.

Or maybe it's the sly journalist with microphone in tow.

Edit: Nevermind, I just noticed Satan in the dark behind everyone, whispering sweet liberal nothings in the ears of those purely evil people who don't deserve to be Americans.
Let's get rid of all college professors, journalists and lawyers. Then we will finally be rid of Bill O'Reilly for good.

Chill, BVS. I don't live on this forum.

Honestly, I'm not crazy about Jesus shown holding the Constitution, no. However, as far as the endorsing earthly governments, I think he'd approve of the way things are done and people are treated in the US much more than he would some other countries.

Was it the overall stereotypes?
Stereotypes are bad. Got it. I'll remember that you- the same guy who thinks that conservatives, when asked about government or policy, will answer "Because Jesus!" 99% of the time- think stereotypes are bad...

Was it the Xenophobia of the "immigrant"?

Um... I see no xenophobia, but that could just be my narrow-mindedness and stupidity getting the best of me.

Was it that higher education = liberal godless?

It's a fact that most professors are liberals. And roughly one-fourth of US professors are either atheists or agnostics, much higher than the national average. And the artist thinks that that's a troubling statistic. Sorry, I'm not too offended by the message that Hollywood isn't the best source of morals and values, and that politicians aren't always looking out for our best interests. But apparently that does bother you.

Perhaps it is because liberals do not believe Hollywood is their spokesperson. That's a conservative myth.

Um, ok sure

You don't see it? I guess I shouldn't be suprised, you've been shown Rush's sexism right there in black and white and it denied it.

Where is this study you got these numbers from? Hollywood is ENTERTAINMENT, nothing more, nothing less, the sooner you and other conservatives figure that out, the better.

Funny what a little edumacation can do to some people, isnt it?

Very simplistic, there are plenty of directors, writers, actors and actresses who will openly admit to having agendas. What about Oliver Stone? To take anothe example, few would deny that movies like Brokeback Mountain had an agenda. I am not saying it's a bad one.

Upon completing the painting, said artist sat down and watched Glenn Beck and was reminded that national rape by socialism is imminent.

But what does this have to do with Hollywood being a source for morals and values?

Right. And Brokeback Mountain was just a love story? There was no agenda whatever in choosing two denizens of one of the most macho professions as the subjects? I seem to recall several commentators that liked the movie suggesting that there was such an agenda and applauding this.

Why say 'agenda' and not 'angle'? Its just a story. Why does there have to be ulterior motives?

But I guess gay characters= ______agenda. Gay people exist, thus their inclusion in movies and tv shows, etc (didn't used to be included, was that an agenda?). That equals some sort of agenda?
