On the front page of Daily Kos, right next to the endless stories and posts condemning Tiller's murderer (who as we know was an extremist who used violence because he disagreed with Tiller's point of view) is an advertisement to come see Bill Ayers speak (who, you know, is an extremist who used violence because he had a different point of view).

If we get rid of Fox News we get rid of murder.

YouTube - Olbermann To Retire O'Reilly Schtick, Proposes Fox News "Quarantine"

After that we may have to go after Movies, Music, and Books.

The same people who are willing to paint Muslims with the same brush because of extremists are appalled when some people paint all pro-lifers with the same brush because of extremists.

I'm not talking about anyone in this thread, just an observation.

so now we're learning that the potential suspect -- Scott Roeder -- had ties to anti-government extremist groups.

this is Christianist terrorism.

Soldier Killed at Recruiting Center

By NOAH TRISTER
AP

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (June 1) - A man with "political and religious motives" killed a soldier just out of basic training and wounded another Monday in a targeted attack on a military recruiting center, police said. The shootings were not believed to be part of a broader scheme.

A police report based on an interview with the suspect says Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, told police he observed two soldiers in uniform, drove up to the recruiting center and started shooting.

William Long, 23, of Conway, died, and Quinton Ezeagwula, 18, of Jacksonville, was wounded and in stable condition, Police Chief Stuart Thomas said.

Muhammad had converted to Islam at some point in his life and interviews with police show he "probably had political and religious motives for the attack," the police chief said.
An equally tragic, if not more so given his age, victim of a zealot with "political and religious motives." But with no apparent link to Fox News or the Religious Right, expect the story to be ignored. Here and elsewhere.

Right-wing nuts trump crazy Muslims anyday.

The story happened yesterday and it's being reported by CNN and most other major networks, but you and Michelle Markin are already on the ball pointing out how it's being ignored...

I'm happy to condemn both.

agreed.

however, since the right wing gets apopoleptic over abortion and we have a routine chorus of "MURDERER!" shouted at doctors and mothers, and since this is somehow, for a loud minority of people, The Only Issue That Matters, it's going to receive more coverage.

i have no idea why abortion is such a big, defining issue for some folks, but it is.

A pro-capital-punishment Christian "pro-lifer" who will argue against the death penalty for another "pro-lifer" who committed pre-meditated cold-blooded murder in a church.

Let me get this straight the Conservative/Republican view is that unborn children and stem cells are to be treated as precious commodities.

The same Conservative/Republican view sent thousands of our Troops to be killed and maimed in the "War On Terror" in Iraq, a country that in no way shape or form had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks while the Perpetraitor of said attacks is (or could be) alive.

Now Folks that's what I would call irony.......

you realize that right wing media comes off as every bit as crazy and "ironic" as you think left wing media does.
