The only thing Trump supporters (in my social media bubble) are talking about is how Trump said Pussy

While Bill Clinton is LITERALLY a rapist, and Hillary shamed the victims.

To my knowledge, Bill was never convicted of any crime, and there's been plenty of allegations brought against him.

He's had affairs with Monica, and Gennifer Flowers. He settled out of court with Paula Jones which some could take as admission of guilt.

But no rape.

I'm sorry but if this is your only fucking comeback to your candidates repulsiveness, then I feel you belong in the basket of deplorables.

How badly do you want Your side to win?

I don't think I can stomach the debates tonight. Especially if Trump goes all in on the Bill Clinton Rape Machine.

I know Hillary is being prepped for it, and she's not going to take his bait. But how embarrassing for a country that it could go down this route. For the whole world to watch.

We have so many issues in this country and all we focus on is marriage affairs

I actually agree with you that Bill Clinton's rape allegations aren't really related to this campaign, other than potentially HRC's alleged attempts to silence supposed victims.

"I know he did, BUT WHAT ABOU--" is a really annoying tactic to use when trying to defend your candidate. It presupposes that the other person is only attacking your candidate out of partisan concerns, and that he doesn't *actually* care about the issue he's bringing up.

That all said - and perhaps this doesn't belong in this thread because it's a pretty far digression - man...I am pretty persuaded by the evidence that Bill most likely raped Paula Jones and/or Juanita Broadderick. And this is out of no antipathy to Bill Clinton - he's probably one of my top 3 favorite modern presidents.

This isn't because Trump said pussy.

This is because Trump alluded to committing sexual assault, and that he's done it before.

I agree that Trump should have been disqualified a year ago, and you can thank the GOP for that, but this isn't because he said a bad word.

Right.
That Trump has uttered the word "pussy" in the past shouldn't surprise nor really bother anyone, likely Hillary has said the word at some point in the past just not on tape and not in regards to assaulting someone.
The language is not the issue, the accompanying actions are.

On a positive note for Orange Donnie, after being whitewashed on Nov 8, he can find work as a spokesman for Tic Tacs.
"Before I sexually assault an unsuspecting victim, I always pop a couple of Tic Tacs, you should too."

I'm feeling charitable, though disappointed.

This is the 25th least shocking thing Trump said. You seem to have understood that last page, but lost that knowledge on this one.

This is someone who came out and immediately called war prisoners losers.

Who immediately concluded that a woman asking him tough questions must be on her period.

Who decided imitating a disabled guy was the best way to make fun of him.

What single moment in history would've given anyone the smallest doubt that there were private conversations like this?

I saw the headline and was only surprised that it leaked, not that it happened.

Breaking news: trump says something trump-like for the 1000th time.

You are literally making this same point when you bemoan the strange state of American morality, where no one is shocked or outraged at the myriad of crazy shit trump has already said, but are instead completely incensed because - and let's keep it 100, do not believe the "I just walk up and kiss 'em!" part is what's keeping this alive - he said pussy.

I have no idea how you can make the point that it's hilarious that *this* is where everyone draws the line with Trump, and then get pissy at me for communicating ostensibly the same idea

????

I was making an unrelated comment. You actually defended Trump.

That's the difference. His comments were horrific, asinine, indefensible.

But you dismissed the comments as "ahh it's just narcissistic Trump making a joke. Over-outrage!!!"

We may have made the same point but we could not possibly be further apart in our intentions from making said point.

You're smart enough to understand the difference between defending Trump and pointing out that people are taking a shitty, asshole remark and blowing it up further once they noticed that it sticks. This is not defending trump. This is just noticing that even in here, the difference in tone from when everyone thought this wouldn't stick to now is jarring.

Quite frankly, if this somehow resulted in Trump dropping out, I would be overjoyed - I'd love to see an election with HRC against quite frankly anyone else, it wouldn't be anywhere near this big of a lead for her.

Do better. Read better. Be better.

Wait?! People actually think this is about the word 'pussy'?

No. People just don't immediately realize he's talking about something he's already done.

A passive listen makes it seem like he's just talking himself up "in front of the guys" like a typical sexist male.

i recommend everyone tune in to watch the blue jays sweep the rangers tonight rather than watch a grown man desperately hurl rape accusations about her spouse at a woman applying for a job. you know that's all he's coming in with tonight.

Stop it Canada

??? I don't see what's wrong with it? It's mocking all the stupid tweets and statements from Republicans who qualified their outrage by saying they had daughters, rather than just being outraged for what was said.

It's not the point. It's the lack of humor and the terrible writing.

It's like a 14 year old wrote it on a web forum fan fiction page.

You didn't notice it, the minute a direct "quote" was given to a group of people? "Who wrote this article? I would like to have a word with their editor. The onion may be satire, but it is no joke" said multiple readers in disgust.

I "love" (I use the word sarcastically, in case you couldn't tell from the quotation marks) that Trumpsters have gone from "BUT BILL CLINTON THO" to "BUT 50 SHADES OF GREY SOLD 80 MILLION COPIES THO."

It is the weirdest shit, man. I mean, I get that it's because they think people are clutching their pearls because he said "fuck" and "pussy," and now they're just hypocrites because they were salivating over some shittily-written porn.

It's just *so* fucking stupid.

I saw that argument on another site, too, yeah. Truly bizarre leap of thought there.

(Random aside, but I'm watching a "48 Hours" episode right now where a man was murdered, and there's talk about him being involved with a lot of shady businesses and people. He and his ex-wife were apparently super rich...and friends with Donald and Marla Trump. Of all the shows to hear his name pop up...).

It would also mean he had no clue about female anatomy, because it's hard to grab a part that's inside the body.

But yes, totally.

I admit to not having done much reading/research into Bill Clinton's alleged rapes. Were he running for office now, I would. Neither have I done much reading into the tales of Hillary trying to "shut down" or shame his accusers. I probably should, but at this point, it's not going to change my vote. And honestly, I'm not inclined to read into it since most of the attacks come from virulent anti-Clinton people online, and they're rarely very credible.

I just read this, and thought it was an interesting take.

Juanita Broaddrick’s rape allegations are credible. Her attacks on Hillary Clinton are not.

I mean, even if Trump were really walking around grabbing women's pussies, what's the big deal? We all know the female body has ways of shutting that whole thing down.

Hm. Good point, Lucky.

Re: Cori's article, I was about 13, 14 years old when the whole scandal with Bill Clinton broke during his presidency, and all I remember hearing about at that time was him having affairs. Not that I condone having affairs, either, but if it were just a (consensual) affair that was the problem, that would be an issue solely for the Clintons and the woman Bill cheated with to sort out. I didn't hear details about the sexual assault allegations until years after Bill left office.

Presuming those accusations are true, that's horrifying, and he definitely needs to answer for them. That should be a matter of concern to the public at large, because it's a crime.

I agree with the article's stance, though, that Hilary should not be held responsible for Bill's actions/crimes, and I don't understand the people who believe otherwise.

And if Trump is indeed planning on trying to get on some moral high horse against her tonight, he can put a sock in it.
