Yamaha Pacifica 112v pickups

Hi all

Just a quickie-- I've got the above-mentioned guitar which has a H/S/S set up with an automatic coil tap when switching to the bridge/middle position.

I've never been a fan of the tone of a tapped pickup, so I'd like to replace it with a single coil, probably along with the middle pickup.

I'm looking to get Edge tones as much as is possible, so what would you recommend in terms of single coils? I'm not looking for a budget pickup, but the Kinman Woodstocks might be just a little out of my price range, so something a little cheaper would be nice

I realise the _real_ answer is to get a proper Strat, but unfortunately I don't have the money, so I've trying to modify this guitar to get as close as I can.

Any thoughts? Assistance much appreciated!

I've heard of the kinmans and would love to get a set in mine. Don't have the money though. I'm not sure how much vintage stock pickups go for, probably a lot. I have a set of Fender Vintage Noiseless in my strat, and they sound great. Its $150 for the set of three.
