Hi Folks,
I've decided that the next U2 song I'm going to learn is Streets... I use an Epiphone Les Paul with a Boss GT8 and think I've got the delay nailed but I'm having trouble finding the right overdrive model to use. I could try each overdrive stored in the GT8 but there are loads of them and I'd have to tweek the parameters of each one before deciding if it's the correct one to use... This would take ages!... The biggest hurdle is getting the right sound on the 'scratching' on muted strings that The Edge does after the opening arpeggio... I know a lot of achieving that sound is down to technique, EQ's and using the 'dimpled' side of the pick... I'm comfortable with those aspects but I think using the correct overdrive would really help. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
