Variax 700 fret markers

the black variax has dots whereas the sparkle has +... why is that? custom made for Mr The Edge?

As for the fret marker issue... seems the + is what they came with.

I will have to look into why Edge's black Variax has different fret markers.

Possible it was requested by The Edge?

But keep in mind that they have made custom items for him (rack version of the DM4) and keep in mind that he bought the Variax 700 when they first came out.
It might be possible that the black one was a prototype?

If you et a Variax, I can lead you to the guy that did the re-finish for Chas (Joshua Tree).

The Edge would mistake it for his own.

Local guitar center has one pretty cheap...not sure i want that as my next guitar though...
