Hahaha! I don't know why but I always find it embarassing to look at/watch tribute bands that dress up and try to act like the original.

Though I must say that fifth member has it pretty easy unless he dresses up as some sort of freaky hybrid of all four!

Okay this is a real old thread.. but are this band planning on playing any dates around the UK in 2007? The UK needs its u2 fill, its been too long now and I haven't heard of any other UK u2 tribute bands!

I've been looking everywhere for u2 tribute bands, im so glad i found this thread. Hurrah! But - does the dude sound like bono?! (And damnit they should play more gigs in the midlands!)

Speaking as someone who's in a Radiohead coverband, how do you guys manage to get gigs? Any helpful tips?

im not actually in the band, they're just great friends of mine, so im not really sure.

i guess you could just goto a venue and ask if they're intrested in a live band performing.
sometimes other venue owners scout around at some gigs. so once youu're there you may get further bookings, its happened to these guys many times.

The guy who does Bono looks decent, but good lord, there are some people who are suitable to look like the Edge and there are some who aren't. He's definitely the latter, and while he's obviously a decent guitar player, his version of City of Blinding Lights is a bit lacking in key elements (i.e., slide and modulated delay). It kind of reminds me of how Slash might do a cover of it.

Hi Partygirlvox where abouts in the midlands are you?I play in a midlands based u2 trib we are at The Talbot pub in Bewdley on thursday 8th feb free entry as well!!!!!
We play alot of gigs around the midlands.
