It's incrediby easy to find videos, articles, forum posts, etc which debate the endless Les Paul (Gibson or Epiphone) question, but I can't find any at all when it comes to Explorers.

Has anyone here used an Epiphone Explorer, and if so are they worth getting? Almost as good as the Gibson, like the Epi Les Pauls are? Or, in fact, totally rubbish and not even worth considering?

High end epiphones are pretty good. in fact, a high end epiphone les paul is way nicer then a low end gibson (and cheaper!). In the end you pay for the name. Gibson Explorer's arent that expensive (compared to LP's that is), so why not get the real deal and chuck some T tops in them?

The new Lennon epi casino's look really nice, and i am tempted by them. For me, i only like the epi's that are actual vintage styled epi's (rather then cheap gibson's) like the casino or the wilshire.

Epiphone Explorers are pretty good guitars. They are not a 1976 Ltd Edition Gibson but they are good.

Epiphone Explorers are FAR better than Epiphone Les Paul's. Epiphone Les Paul's are hit and miss. And they usually require some upgrades to sound more 'Edge-like'
