[B]Edge using the SG for 3 tunes in Dallas, TX[ 5/26/17/B]

A bit more Gibson SG use than normal in Dallas, TX.

Friday night in Dallas the Edge used his `66 SG for the first time during the tour and decided to use it for THREE songs, 'Beautiful Day', 'Elevation' and 'I Will Follow'.

Pretty cool! I'd like to see it used more. Even better if he pulled out the Pelham Blue `65 SG from time to time.

Has Edge ever used any guitar besides the Explorer for Beautiful Day?

Not that I can think of.

Definitely a bit of a surprise. Also surprised that IWF has yet to be on an Explorer this tour.

I don't know, but it seems like SGs sound too mid-heavy to me. or am i being minority here?

Edge used the LP Goldtop on the 'Eze version' of 'Beautiful Day':

this is like nearly the first time Edge used SG live on songs that aren't Elevation, isn't it?
