You're welcome, and thank you for the kind words.
Actually everything except the guitar parts in that version is done by am22884, and it's excellent!
The guitar parts were mostly improvised so I just recorded whatever crossed my mind at the time.
I stole the opening harmonics from that song they played in Antwerp 2001, "We Love You" for example.
I recorded using a Washbrun HB-30 and a Behringer V-Amp2 with some delay and Brit Hi Gain settings.

Which numbered beach clip is this?

This would be DSCN0403 or 403 if you prefer.

I've played with the tought of playing it to them if they have the time to listen to it when/if I see them in Dublin sometime.
I'm going with school in the spring so I hope they will be there finishing the new album up.

Since they are very kind souls their faces would probably look something like this:
:nerd:  :)

But I bet they would really be thinking:
 :slant:

And again, you're too kind to me. There are a couple of mistakes in that recording and it's nothing special, just some appregios, harmonics and "typical" Edge-melodies.
I'm merely a copycat/wannabe Edge.

I wouldn't want to be him, I would prefer to be like him but not sound like him. It would be great if I somehow developed my own sound if possible.

I'm considering getting the Vox Tonelab SE. It gets you lovely U2 sounds from what I've heard so far and lots more and it's not as expensive as getting a whole rack of advanced stuff either.
It pretty much nails the classic Stratocaster Edge sounds if anything.

having thier lifes would be out of this world...i mean travelling the world...doing something they REALLY enjoy...playing infront of the big crowds...i think you'd be on a constant high...

That's what I would want if the opportunity comes around but I wouldn't want to be The Edge to experience it.
It would be so much better to play your own tunes on your own stage in foront your own audience, don't you think?

Have you tried playing the song yet, bazza?

Hi Edge 89 - started...but been on holidays...will try and get into it seriously this week - will let you know how it goes....
