stapler

Im new here and was just wondering if anyone could help with an equipment question.
What is that stapler like thing that edge uses in the ZOOtv video for WOWY? Probably a stupid question but id love to know.

I think you're referring to the E-Bow. Edge uses it to play that opening note that just goes on forever (infinite sustain). On Elevation and even Popmart i think he had an infinite sustain pickup built into his Fernandes gutiar. But back before that, he used the E-Bow electric gutiar pick.

e-bows are pretty expensive. . . probably around $70

On the Joshua tree album it was played with a device called, I think, Infinite Guitar, made by Michael Brook. I believe his name is on the album credits
