Running to Stand Still

Hey all,

I thought I would try to put some clips to a cover version I did of Running To Stand Still...I played the guitar and sang over a back track...Let me know what you think...

the clips seem more ZooTV than Joshua Tree

your vocals are a little Tom Waits- not bad at all.. seems to me like RTSS would've been like if they'd released it in the Zooropa era.. (ie: also reminds me of Johnny Cash on "the Wanderer")

how did you achieve the "ethereal effect" of the guitar and music?

Thanks for your comments.

For the effects I plugged my guitar through a PODxt and into my computer. For the music, I experimented the mixing with a program called Sonar and the vst plugins on the guitar, bass, drums and piano. I attempted to create a sound that was "orchestral" like as opposed to a traditional rock sound - I don't know if it came through on the video..
