Hi all. I'm looking for my first tube amp, but there's no way I'm paying for one new. I think the prices are ridiculous in this country compared to what the americans pay for example. So, if any of you UK guys are selling or know of anybody selling a tube amp of whatever make could you please drop me a message. I'm up for hearing about anything - I'll decide whether it's suitable or not.

Go to a decent store and test a couple out. Once you've found an amp you like try the internet. Firstly, surely there are other webboards besides Ebay. And if you go and pick up an amp in person then you can test them out. Secondly, the internet might give you the names of 2nd hand stores, or give you a price comparison.
Also it pays to check out any music store you come across for hidden gems.
