Ok I listened, what's the deal? Is edge saying the axe is good but different? The vox amps sound much sweeter.

Are the axe vox sims any good? I'd be gutted if I spent a good £600-£700 on the axe, alone for its amp sims to be crap. Further proof you don't need to jump on the 'rich' train. 'Budget' is the way forward!

A great guitar player I know quoted 'A sh*t guitar player can make the best equipment sound sh*t. A great guitar player can make the cheapest equipment sound great. It's all in your hands.' So true

I think the amp-sim from Axe sounded clearer just because it's fed directly to the mixer. But I still love his original Voxes. But, sure, why not Axe-FX?

Edge being edge would probably use both, unless someone knows different? It's people's preference and what they like, I think the amp sims are good and are a great substitute for the real thing. One day I'll get a ac30, one day......
