I just got the The Sheraton last week and it has quickly become my #1. The sound is amazing. I'm using it on so many songs....

As for the r1000, it's not bad. I'm actually gonna sell mine since I pretty much use the SPX90 and Pod Pro for all my reverbs. I have been happy with it, but the SPZ90 is more versitile.

Good luck with getting a Sheraton.... I'm sure you will love it!!

Don't feel inferior ... it took me forever to buy all my stuff. I basically just saved and saved till I had enough. It's all about building and buying your rig one piece at a time.

I totally agree.... it all comes in due time. If I were not playing in The Joshua Tree... I'd still be sitting in my room with a Mexican Strat, practice amp and a few pedals.

Most important is to add stuff that you like the sound or feel of, not just buying a lot of gear to have a lot of gear. But adding to you options. For instance, it would be nice to have a Fernandez infinite sustain guitar for With or Without You but, IMO, it is not worth $500 for one song. I'd rather pick up something that I can use a lot.

Good luck to you all.....

Im planning on starting a 3 to 4 piece rack unit and i was wondering do i really need to use some sort of power conditioner for such a small unit? Also, what are some important things i should
know when creating a small rack unit?

Squier Strat. Piece of shit. Buggered pick-ups.

Park Marshall Amp (some 10 watt practice jobby)

Boss ME-50

Headphones

...

:)

My Rig:

GUITARS:
Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 with birds.
Seagul Acoustic CW+S6
Cordoba Classical
'70s Fender Mustang Bass
and some other crappy guitars not worth mentioning!

AMPS:
Fender Twin Reverb (silver face, master volume... from the '70s)
Marshal JCM2000 Dual Super Lead 100w Head, with 1960A cab.

EFFECTS:

Crybaby 535Q WAH Chrome
Ernie Ball Volume Pedal
Boss SD-1 Super Drive
Boss TU-2 Tuner
Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion
Boss MT-2 Metal Zone
Boss GE-7 Equalizer
Boss TR-2 Tremolo
Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble
Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb
Boss DD-5 Digital Delay
Boss NS-2 Noise Supressor
(boss effects are alright.)

I use all monster cables, including the cable that connects the head to

the cab. They are the best! I have a guitar bug wireless system that eats up batteries like a cop eats dougnuts.

I also have some other effects that I put in a box and forgot about.

My next effect will be the line 6 delay modeler!

Guitars:
Epiphone Les Paul 56 Goldtop

is that the same as the rp 200a? at first a didnt like it because the sounds were so hard to figure out and took too long. but they have a sound community at digitech.com and peopel have some great sounds on their to edit into the presets....

The RP-200A is identical to the RP-200, only that it has artist presets.

It's not a completely bad pedal in terms of what you get for it (heh, I only really bought it for the whammy), but there's a lot left to be desired with the sound quality.

BTW, if you're interested, I've got some patches for U2 songs at my site. :) http://www.flickerandfade.org/?faf=effects

They're not 100% accurate, but you'll get a bit of an Edgy sound at least.
