I'm considering trying out one of these, but I've had mixed reviews about these...anyone have any first hand experience with these?

i think that's the problem, Edge has the best vintage gear, Dallas Schoo on his side....he can use any crap equipment and make it sound good..

Edge used the DM-4 on the latest album. He actually bought 11 of them to take on the road in order to replicate all the distortion tones he used on the record.

Personally, I think some of the tones on the album sound kind of sterile, such as Crumbs and the solo on All Because of You.

He also used Line 6 POD Pro on the last album, and I thought it was kind of sterile sounding too. I mean it sounded good, but something about it wasn't quite right.

All Because of You live (I'm thinking of HQ, 11-16-2004) sounds awesome, and you can really hear the DM4. I think it's the DM4 on Miracle Drug live also, and they both sound spectacular, real fat and punchy.
