Joyo AC Tone

Hi all

I've just ordered a Joyo AC tone off eBay for £30.00.
Heard really good reviews on this pedal, a near perfect clone of the much hyped Liverpool 21 amp pedal.

If anyone's used it, let me know.
I will upload some tones when she arrives.

Someone on u2GT said my pod xt live has a better ac30 sim than the HD500? Can't believe that. They said the xt live sim is better than the ac tone too.Which in effect is better than the liverpool pedal? I really don't think my xt is better, but hopefully I can find out in a day or 2

yeah once you get the AC Tone you can check it out.i had a pod xt bean but prefer the Amp Sims on my Pod Pro.but for a quick set up i use the vox AmPlug and the AC Tone will be good to use for recording etc as it has more tonal options for a pedal.ive never used the HD500 ive heard clips and it sounds good but sometimes you have to spend a good bit of time with your gear get to know it inside out and see what works best and its always good to try out other bits of gear AC Tone/Liverpool Amplug etc

I think with the ac tone you literally plug it in with nothing else and you can get a sweet crunchy tone for Sunday Bloody Sunday. Probably also get I will follow too with some tweaking?

I'd think you could get a good SBS sound with a Vox or something that simulates an AC30. As can be seen/heard in the live recordings.

But that said... if you are going for the studio sound... the recording of 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' was done with a Fender amp and not the Vox AC30.

(The use of the Fender for SBS was mentioned in the book 'U2 by U2')

Yeah I believe edge has some fender tweed amps? I think he also uses a hiwatt amp too for some live/studio bits, beautiful day springs to mind.He isn't 100% vox

Wow the ac tone is simply amazing. I've not had the chance to record anything yet but, personally, it's better than the ac 30 sim on my pod xt live. It has more warmth, tone and dare I say it, edge.

It's hard to do a side by side as the ac tone is first in the chain, before my xt live, but it still sounds better.

I will upload recording when I can.

Lovely jubbly!

It's a vox in a box. £30.00 and it's on par with the tech21 Liverpool pedal.

Check out reviews and YouTube vids. I don't think you'll be disappointed for the money.

Shouldn't do? Just turn the 'amp'stomp off in HD and have the ac tone as your 'amp'. I have the xt live, someone on U2GT said the xt has a better ac sim than the HD Series ( I find this hard to believe!) and the joyo is better.

For £30 it's not really that much of a gamble. You could use it to feed a second amp for the shimmer pedal?
