How do you go about getting Kite tone?

How do you get the guitar tone for Kite? Are there specific effects he uses for Kite or patches. I'm not talking about the slide guitar parts or the accoustic but the distorted electric guitar (rhythm). Please suggest to a generally clueless person on how to go about getting as close to that tone as one can.

Ibanez TS-9, Les Paul and a sweating Vox AC30, oh and a Korg SDD3000 probably.
