Has anyone ever heard the song "World on Fire" by Sarah McLachlan... I think it's made the rounds or is making the rounds...

There is guitar that plays a mini-solo but has a christmasy tone (pretty common alt-rock tone). I'm sure the Edge has used it somewhere as well. I'm still figuring out guitar tones and own an ME-50. How does one go about getting the tone. I guess it's the shimmery/ sparklely part at the end.

What effects do you think might be needed. The solo part near the end and pretty much is playing through the final repeats of the chorus underneath Sarah's voice. Is it clean?

Thanks for any help.

theres reverse guitar on the part when it kinda stops
in the middle

clean parts use chorus effect on your ME-50

use a wah wah with sum distortion/ OD and delay
let it sustain with ur compressor for that other middle part
you could roll back ur tone control same kinda idea
as using the wah for that kinda nasel sound
it sound almost like that u2' love is blindness solo feel':)

the end use delay 400+ms with a touch of drive roll of the tone
control for the licks

its pretty much a multi effects unit in use
with very clean delay like from a boss unit GT6/ME-50 etc
the very clean delay is on right at the end
try sum of your ME-50 Presets sumthing nice and chrstal clear
must be preset on that which is bright like a JC-120 amp sim

hope that helps BB Mac

hope that helps nice tune
