Goldtop

Hey, I'm thinking about buying a gibson les paul goldtop. Does anyone know whether it's worth it to bite the bullet and spend 3k on the 57 reissue or try and find a vintage one or a cheaper model on ebay or something? I've played some of the les pauls but not enough to really be able to tell the differences.

i've played a '57 Gibson goldtop, and it's the heaviest guitar i've ever played. sounds amazing though. Epiphone Les Pauls are decent guitars as well.

Yeah... They ARE very heavy, but it has a great sound to it...(gibson)
