i only pick the 1st note in each of the 4 note parts, this:
b-5h8p5----
g----------7-
the rest if you have good overdrive you can hammer and pull off on the other 3, so you dont have to worry about picking.
b-8p5--5h8p5----
g------7---------7--
for example, ill start out picking the 8th on the b string then ill pull off to 5 then ill hammer on 7 on the g string. then ill pick the 5 on the b string then ill hammer on 8 then pull of back to 5 then hammer on 7. then you just pick the 5th fret on the b string and repeat the same thing over and over again.
i use the same pattern for the higher up 2nd part.
hope this makes sense.
btw, i use my pointer finger to constantly hold the 5th fret ( or 12th fret of e string for the higher part) on the b string and use my ring finger only for the 8th fret on the b string (and for the 2nd part the 15th on the e string) and i use my middle finger only for hammering on the 7th fret on the g string. (or the 15th fret on the b string for the 2nd part)
