Best cover I have done so far. Pretty close to Edge's sound?

The playing is good.

Tone on the clip seems a bit 'shrill' an metallic. Perhaps roll a bit of the high off on the tone knob on the guitar? Plus keep in mind that Edge is using a hollowbody thinline (Casino) with P-90 single coil pickups. So the guitar he uses for this song is far different from your Les Paul.

Which pickup or pickups are you using? Bridge? Neck? Both?

What are you using for the distortion?

I didn't like the treble part of it. It could be the TS9 on the M13, I had the treble up a bit. I so badly wish I had a Hollowbody or a guitar with P90s but you can't have everything (unless you are The Edge of course ). I had the pickups set to middle position during the verse. Pre chorus and chorus was neck (down on the selector), and neck on the solo. I was hoping someone would set me straight on the tone. But I swear it sounds a little different being played through iTunes. Maybe I should upload the audio to SoundClick?

There are a few things that you can do to work on the treble. Tone knob on the guitar might help some. Tone in the TS9 model in the M13 is another. Check the tone settings on the amp too.

As for the pickup selector... DOWN would be the bridge not the neck pickup. Could be another reason it's a bit more treble-y.

Maybe try (up) the neck pickup for the verse and middle (both) for the solo? Just a thought.

I'll try those things. I can't right now though, folks are asleep.

 I meant the Down/Bridge. I get confused sometimes with guitars. I did however go back and play it again a while back and used the up position and it sounded much thicker and better. Still used the down pos. for the solo. The M13 has an EQ on it I think (?) so I can maybe go back and try that, if the M13 has one.

The whole song should be on the bridge pickup. So I would say just fiddle around with you're distortion settings and you'll get it
