"Acoustic guitar"?

How come people always say Edge plays acoustic guitar on Love and peace this tour, Desire on Elevation or on Zoo TV B-stage, I still haven't found... and Angel of Harlem (Zoo TV Washington show for example)?

The guitar looks acoustic but it sounds like an electric...

that's the guitar he plays on "Love and Peace" and "The Fly" he just had them customized to be silver and black with red target.
