NLOTH: when the main verse riff goes a little sharp.
Magnificent: the rhythm section of this song are a really simply disco beat, but they're flawless, and one of the most memorable that Adam and Larry have ever done.
MOS: The last verse that ends with the "pain to stop" bit
UC: the "cease to speak that I may speak" part
Crazy: the "baby baby baby" part
Boots: Larry's drumming on top of the drum loop in the middle eight
SUC: The flanger on the guitar as it comes out of the solo
FBB: 1:35 to 1:54
WAS: the mandolin
Breathe: the long drum intro
Cedars: the weird "shellshock" ringing sound effect during the "haven't been with a woman in years" verse and a couple other verses.

"I'm running down the road like loose electricity while the band in my head plays a striptease"

No Line on the Horizon: the whoa-whoa-whoas
Magnificent: the intro
Moment of Surrender: the intro and the mighty bassline (come to think of it, this album is really good at its introduction to the songs)
Unknown Caller: the final 2 minutes
Crazy Tonight: the sweet riff after the "baby baby" part
Boots: nope, can't think of anything
SUC: when it finally ends
Fez-Being Born: "Lights... flash past" and the transition from Fez to Being Born
White as Snow: the intro, it's all downhill after that
Breathe: plenty of moments, but "The roar that lies on the other side of silence" is a great lyric and the delivery is even better
Cedars of Lebanon: "This shitty world sometimes produces a rose... the scent of it lingers, then it just goes..."

It's a grower, thank God. Don't consider it as one of U2's better efforts, but it's a step up. It could have been much better though, if not for that woeful middle part.

Love how the thread is titled "your SINGLE favourite moment on NLOTH" and everyone is trying to find a favourite moment in every single song.

I can't narrow it down to one.

Magnificent (3:39) -- the unexpected chord change
Fez-Being Born (1:34) -- OAAAAH!
Breathe (3:29) -- from that point to the end, the song just takes off to another level

Well I ABSOLUTELY love everything Larry did on this record! He's the one who shines brighter here to me! Very well done, man! Best rhytmic section in a U2 album in quite a while! Starting from no line to cedars...it's not a moment i know!

There are many special moments in this album, but my favourite are:
in MOS:
Two souls too smart to be in the realm of certainty
Even on our wedding day
and
My body’s now a begging bowl
That’s begging to get back, begging to get back
To my heart
To the rhythm of my soul
To the rhythm of my unconsciousness
To the rhythm that yearns
To be released from control

Breathe:
Walk out, into the sunburst street
Sing your heart out, sing my heart out
I’ve found grace inside a sound
I found grace, it’s all that I found
And I can breathe
Breathe now

WAS:
As boys we would go hunting in the wood
To sleep the night shooting out the stars

GOYB :
Let me in the sound

Agreed Marien...love these bits of MOS and Breathe

My body’s now a begging bowl
That’s begging to get back, begging to get back
To my heart
To the rhythm of my soul
To the rhythm of my unconsciousness
To the rhythm that yearns
To be released from control

Breathe:
Walk out, into the sunburst street
Sing your heart out, sing my heart out
I’ve found grace inside a sound
I found grace, it’s all that I found
And I can breathe
Breathe now

beyond that White as Snow- just 4 minutes of perfection

"Restart and reboot yourself..." - Unknown Caller

"I was speeding on the subway..." - Moment of Surrender

"The future needs a big kiss..." Get on your boots

sorry but i cannot pick just one

Magnificent's intro through bono singing "MAGNIFICENT"
chorus in Breathe
ATM lyric in MOS
guitar near end of COL
bridge in WAS
and of course edge's solo in UC

as bono often says, god walked in the room when the "icy water" from WAS and the "grace inside a song" from Breathe came up.

My body’s now a begging bowl
That’s begging to get back, begging to get back
To my heart
To the rhythm of my soul
To the rhythm of my unconsciousness
To the rhythm that yearns
To be released from control

 Love the depth in Bono's voice there.
