Lyrically, I think they could've done better. :reject: However, I love the instrumentals in this song, especially the French Horn.

Awww, thank you SO much. Things have been going better for me recently, still some stuff to figure out in my personal life, but after all, I think it's really much better now.

Still, the album really still manages to comfort me, and WAS is still one of my favourite songs by anyone, it moves me every time I hear it.

Hang in there, love.
This album has managed pull me through some difficult times also.

I still love this song so much. The best moment for me is that guitar sound when Bono sings "And the water, it was icy..". Chills down my back!

I really like this song. It's surprisingly one of my favorites on the album, despite the fact that I usually don't go for the slower songs.

To sleeeeeep the niiiiiiight shooting out the staaaars.

In fact, this whole verse is amazing. The harmonies between Bono and Edge...

As boys we would go hunting in the woods
to sleep the night shooting out the stars
now the voes of every passing stranger
every face we cannot know

i believe that this song and Cedars are what separates this album from their 2 previous albums. on ATYCLB and HTDAAB, the slower, meditative songs seemed to miss the mark (Peace On Earth, Grace, One Step Closer, etc..).
