Bullshit.
November 2007 (not likely) or November 2008 (very likely) will be the date.

Optimistic, aren't they?

I say Fall release (like all of their albums except War, JT, Zooropa and Pop), 2007.

Does anyone know what this part means?

I'm guessing something like "date unspecified" or something else along those lines. The list that follows that consists of just about everybody in music.

That is what it means, or literally "Sometime this year"

why is arcade fire listed as "sometime this year" when it is just about certain that it will be released in april? it is definitely more certain than u2 in june, since their album is already completely done. expressen are shitheads.

Tell me something I don't know.

It's Swedens "The Sun".

 So true.
Remeber a couple of years ago their competitor "Aftonbladet" was so sure that the U2004 album would be called "Solaris" :lmao: :D

Seriously, leave this to the people that knows this stuff i.e. Q Magazine, Dave Fanning/Jo Whiley/Zane Lowe or something/somebody.

Edit:
I'd just like to add the following, which I would say is a fairly recent statement:
from U2 by U2 "Until The End Of The World 2002-2006" (page 320)

PAUL: ...There is no point in a big artist putting out a record any other time than in the fourth quarter of the year, when record sales worldwide are so big it is really equivalent to the rest of the year put together. So as we missed the dead lines for a fall release, the album slipped not into early 2004 but late 2004, ...

And besides, the band has learnt it's lessons with setting up deadlines, right?
They just finished a two year long world tour.

So for me that makes it really clear that if there's some truth in this rumor at all it will most likely not be a fresh studio album, but rather another compilation of some sort.
