We listened to it and I told her it was better than Vertigo and Boots. She told me I was sleeping on the sofa tonight

If Sr. Poop endorses this song, that's enough for me.

It's good to see Bono going for a more universal lyric this time around, sure some moments fall back into typical U2 cliché, but the overriding message about feeling disregarded and not wanting to be lost in the crowd is much more relatable.

The problem with Boots was that it was all just too obscure and whimsical.

With that said, I can't help thinking this tune would have had far more impact had it been sung by 20 year old Bono rather than 50 year old Bono. It's clearly made to be the lead track on Boy.

Edge's riff certainly has something potent about it but I'm not sure the 'there is no them' refrain has quite the anthemic ring its supposed to.

Its a song written for the youth, I just wonder if the youth will get it.

Still, I go for 7.5.

I give it a 7. It's better than Boots, but not as good as Vertigo or Beautiful Day. It's a solid tune though.
