Haha-- Because........ where is the album NOW? 4 months later and its a DUD, Bomb! Also read the threads and reviews a little.. He simply articulated it better than most...
Most reviews are positive or at least slightly positive. I think we don't need to be told what to read, we are all very well able to read.
It's always nice to see people coming here simply to stir up crap about U2.
NLOTH is a great album.

I would like to know what Jon Earls said about it in The Void. Apparantly he gave it 5/10. He's never liked U2, thinks Vertigo is their best song and thinks GOYB sounds like Pump it Up by Elvis Costello. This is just lazy journelism. GOYB, like Vertigo, Elevation uses rock matter. Similar to Chuck Berry songs and Billy Joal's We Didn't Start The Fire. This guy doesn't know as much as he thinks he does on music. There are differences in Pump IT UP and GOYB's.
One of the biggest selling albums in the world is a dud.
We are halfway through 2009, and NLOTH IS THE BIGGEST selling album in the world for the year...by a WIDE margin. 5 million shipped, over 3.3 million sold. Critically acclaimed by many reviewers...best selling album of the year on the entire planet = tremendous success.
Sure, there are people who do not like it. Saying it's a "Dud", however, is absurd.
