Small correction - right now 7:50 AM Pacific would be 14:50GMT - but it is still 15:50 in the UK (currently on BST) and 16:50 CET. The BBC thing would be 8pm (20:00) BST.

AM640 Exclusive Interview With U2 Today | Talk Radio AM640

When U2 woke up last Tuesday morning, I doubt they expected the backlash of hate and criticism they been receiving daily for the past week, over their free iTunes album “Songs of Innocence.”

It just so happens that Alan Cross from our brother station 102.1 the edge has secured an exclusive interview with U2 today at 2:30pm.

Now, this is a huge deal considering all of the controversy over the last week, thanks to said forced, free iTunes album “Songs of Innocence.” This will be the first time U2 comments on the controversy and it very well may be the only Canadian, perhaps even the only North American interview they do. Alan Cross will join Jeff Mcarthur on AM640 at 3:30pm this afternoon with highlights from his U2 interview.

You'd imagine in these interviews coming up that he will get asked about SOE a fair bit? Surely he will expect this and would not have even mentioned its existence otherwise if it wasn't close to being ready to go. Given past experience over SOA and all that.
