First reports of windows in the skies!

Well since there has been atleast one station that played WITS lets hear what people think of the song. No MP3's no nothing this is just a review thread. PS i havent yet heard it myself!

They didn't announce that the song was going to be played before it was played (or at least, I didn't hear anything about it). I can fully assure you that the song was indeed played. It contains a lot of falsetto from Bono, a very Beatles-esque tune and I'm pretty sure that Edge uses the 12-string Rickenbacker. The end of the song sounded a bit busy; with overdubs of Bono and Edge singing. Of course, it could sound better on a proper sound system. My shower radio isn't the best device for fidelity.

The "oh can't you see what love has done, oh can't you see what love has done, to you and me" sounds like 400 to me.
 
It's 400 but completely fleshed out, with a full band sound. First impressions are that it's a classic. 'Love left a window in the Skies and to love I rhapsodise'. 'Oh can't you see what love has done' is the chorus. Classic Edge sounding guitar too in the background. From 400 they've toned down the synth-strings a bit, but added in a full recorded string section. It's really good on first listen.

I knew I should have created a "How many times will Bono say Knees/Kneel during the new song" thread before the song was leaked.


After listening to it for the first time, I think it sounds great.
