Is NLOTH (song) a mix of other songs?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Starting when the back kicks in on the second verse, NLOTH does have a little buried riff in there very similar to the Fly's gigantic riff, but the underlying chord progression isn't the same at all.

^ What alittle just said.

I can't think of any other U2 songs that go from the I chord to a major IV chord. Anyone?

^ This is what I mean by me being thick. I have absolutely no idea what alittle means.

Just a dorky music theory reference. The relationship between the two chords used in NLOTH's verses. It's not a super-common progression in rock music, that's all. The two chords create a lot of tension against each other. You know, in a good way.

And the only time I can think of when U2 goes from a major I to a major IV chord is the first two chords of IALW.
