Got a reply from Dave Fanning today / Chris Moyles on BBC Radio 1

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
One word...Triple J (damn that's 2 words).

Anyway, Australia has a great selection of stations in my opinion. 2Day FM for crap, WSFM for oldies, Nova for a good cross-section of music, Triple M for rock and Triple J for alternative. You'll DEFINITELY hear GOYB on those last 3 stations within minutes of the world debut

Vega953 (Sydney) is also pretty good when it comes to playing U2. I usually hear a U2 song on there every couple of hours, so i expect they'll be backing GOYB when it's released.

Probably :

www. nolineonthehorizon .com

They'd probably just test it on an internal server and not have it on any domain.

They probably do almost all internally with something this high profile. Being also client based company though I would assume they would probably have some form up and pass protected near the end so those who signs off on final approval can do so where ever they are.

Well, something did change on nolineonthehorizon.com today.

Yesterday, it had this standard message saying : this domain was registered by netnames.net or something similar surrounded by an orange border. And advertisements around it.

Now, it's just a white page with nolineonthehorizon on it.

 There's no Line on the Webpage!

:shifty: I do remember you pulling that joke on us before, in say, a caption thread?

Would have been brilliant to pull something like that off again.

Yeah to be honest I can't recall a time I've heard U2 on JJJ. I mean I've only been listening for like 5 or so years but still...

Well honestly, after thinking about it,
its probably been 5 years since I was a regular listener.

I tuned out when Adam and Will left :(

Actually I shouldn't say weird, but different. They've played like 5 songs and I don't know any of them. U.S. radio is really different.

Irish radio is usually fairly lame during the day, they play a lot of Boyband rubbish and crap chart music, later on in the evenings it usually gets much better. Dave Fanning used to play a lot of music on his week time show, now he has more of a chat show with 2 or 3 songs on it.

just read on U2eastlink (sourced Universal Finland) that GOYB will be available on ITunes next Monday also, so it looks like they're doing the digital download the same day. wonder if we'll get any b-sides?

in france for GOYB 6 A.M (frensh hour) on RTL2 radio and special u2 sunday night!

Music news sur RTL2

Sounds like they're jumping the gun... Thought the understanding was that Fanning gets to play it first on RTE at 8:05AM Irish time and then it goes out to all other radio 10 minutes later...so French radio isn't supposed to be playing it until 9:15AM (French time)?

Maybe he registered so he can find people's opinions on the song when it's played

"News just in, U2 fans hate the song"
