I think that logo is/was on some T-shirts in the U2.com store. I don't know where it came from originally, unless it's something from the very early days.

What? That's the logo U2 used around the Joshua Tree/Rattle and Hum era on t-shirts, books, posters etc.!

yes, that's right
the image i put was used in Zippo officially licensed lighter.

That just made me remember... I have a pin of the joshua tree, and I still have the package it came in. It has this logo in gold and says "official merchandise". I've worn the pin a few times and years ago when I got it I nearly threw the package away. I'm glad I kept it now!
