FREESTYLIN' FRIDAY - Tools of the Trade

FREESTYLIN' FRIDAY - Tools of the Trade

Be it guitars or keyboards. The man and the gear that helps him make those wonderful noises.

...more to come! Time to work!

And a bit more...

The 1938/39 Epiphone Electar Lap Steel could only mean one tune... 'Surrender' (UF tour - Below)

Edge with his orange Fernandes Decade Elite, during the 2001 Elevation tour rehearsal. (Below)

And here with it's cousin, the sea foam finish Fernandes Decade Elite. (Below)

Gretsch-tastic "City of Blinding Lights" tones with the Country Gent during he 360 tour. (Below)

A close up of the 1962 Epiphone Casino during the 'Vertigo' tour. (below)

The Edge with his original 'Blackie' Fender Stratocaster. (Below)

Nothing more classic than The Edge and his Explorer (below)

The 'Stuck In A Moment...' Stratocaster. Legend has it, this might have been used in the studio for some of the anthemic JT and R&H tunes too. (below)

Taylor acoustic action during the Elevation tour... (below)

1975 Les Paul Custom during the Elevation Cleveland show. This was later auctioned in the Music Rising auction (below)

commences to drool over Edge AND his guitar gear
Explorer, Black Strat and do I spy a Red-Sunburst Rickenbacher?? A Twelve String ?? ()

I learned me guitars through being a Who fan from waaay back, and know the RB from Roger McGuin in The Byrds (8 miles high, baby!) Some guitars, anyway! I don't think ever seen that orangey one!

I've neglected my poorer persons Squire fender for a l-o-n-g time. Have to get a buzzy string changed.
And when i briefly got a windfall i didn't get a small practice amp so i still run it through my Boom Box.

Have the Squier properly set up at your local shop. When the action isn't too high nor too low and buzzing, it makes playing more fun and the sound more inspiring.

Practice amp? There are plenty of decent choices. Try the VOX AC4TV. $250-$300 - and it has Switchable output levels: 4, 1 & 1/4 watt. Useful if you live in an apartment or home with others and need to keep the volume down.

Try this dealer:

thanks E_O
keep in mind for future (Practice amp) I don't have that kind of money at this juncture

when I got it it sounded fine for a bunch of months or about a year
it's one string now that buzzes.

Eventually i take to a shop to have it restrung not quite ready although maybe i'll re-find on e of the on-line tutorials for restringing

restringing an acoustic was easier!
