It's a kufi or taqiyah... not usually worn by Christian Welsh guys.

I think Taqiya is the correct name. Also called a 'prayer cap'.Neat lid, ain't it?

Seems that in that era, Edge wore the various beanies on stage with random ZOO symbols and sayings (the one with "Northern Scum" on it comes to mind).... and the Taqiya / prayer cap was more for off stage use.
