dont know if this has been posted yet, but I just was watching the Bruce Springsteen R+R Hall of Fame induction speech on u2.com and heard him say 'stations of the cross'. This was in 2005. I am 99% sure Bono didnt have Moment of Surrender written at this point.
 
When I was a kid my dad bought a couple sets of stations of the cross. ...and an altar, and a baptismal font, and pews, and nun stalls, and chalices, and, and, and.... Pretty much everything a nicely equipped Catholic church would have.

BTW, we weren't Catholic. :lol:
 
Well, Catholics have been saying "stations of the cross" for eons now. I bet they're cool with Bono borrowing the phrase for his song.

he also used the "vision over visibility" line when they played with Pearl Jam

I actually just noticed that about a month ago while digging up that performance again. It's interesting how certain lines really stick with Bono for long times before he actually gets to use them.
