In NLOTH, what is Bono singing in the bridge that is not a part of the official lyric:

The songs in your head are now on my mind
You put me on pause
I’m trying to rewind (I hear alone) and replay (either hey, hey or hey, babe)

And in Cedars who is the "you" in these lines ? The narrator's wife ?

You’re so high above me, higher than everyone
Where are you in the Cedars of Lebanon?

NLOTH: I assume you're not saying you hear "alone" in place of rewind. I've always thought the sung lyric was something like:

"I'm trying to rewiiiiiiiiiiiiiind, oh, love
and replay, hey, hey..."

Cedars: I believe the "you" is God. The reporter is trying to see evidence of God amongst all the turmoil of war that he is reporting. If you check the biblical references thread in the "Goal is Soul" forum, you'll see that the Cedars of Lebanon were used throughout the Old Testament, most notably by Solomon to build the Temple in Jerusalem. i.e., they literally "housed" God, so the narrator is asking God, "Where are You in the cedars of Lebanon?"

No, I meant the word that he sings inbetween "rewind" and "and replay".
